About
DrFran Babcock showed me a little project she was working on. She had a moon rotating around a revolving planet earth. Problem was, the two were not linked up. When you start linking objects together, the child prims rotate around the parent object at the same rate. Ok ... but the planet earth needs to spin faster then the moon travels around it. To get around this problem, I introduced some LSL magic. Since earth is just one prim, we were able to animate the texture to spin faster then the moon rotating around the earth. All good, but it's not going to help classmates who are new to this. What is up with all that scripting goo that doesn't make much sense to noobs? From Dedric Mauriac via blogHUD
